Privacy notice
Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679). Updated 24 October 2026. The Finnish version is the primary one.
1. Controller

2. Whose data we process
- Company contact data (B2B marketing): company name, the company's general email address (such as info@ or sales@) and public information about the company's public procurement activity, such as contracts won.
- Customers and trial users: contact person's name and email, company name, business ID, billing details, and correspondence about the subscription and invoicing.
3. Sources
Company contact data is collected from public sources: companies' own websites, open data from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH/YTJ), and public procurement notices (TED, Hilma). Customer data comes from the customer.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- B2B email marketing of this service: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). Our interest is offering the service to companies active in Finnish public IT procurement. We write to the company's general address, send at most one follow-up, and every message explains how to opt out.
- Delivering and invoicing the service: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Accounting: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c), Finnish Accounting Act).
5. Retention
Marketing contact data is deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact, or immediately on opt-out. To respect an opt-out, we keep the address on a suppression list. Customer data is deleted when the subscription ends, except accounting records, which are kept for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act (vouchers 6 years).
6. Recipients and transfers
We never sell or share the data. Our email and cloud providers (Microsoft, Amazon Web Services) process it on our behalf. They may process data outside the EU/EEA, in which case transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics, tracking or external fonts, and has no forms. The hosting service (Amazon CloudFront) may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep them secure.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You can opt out of marketing at any time by replying "no thanks" or by emailing mats@jabbwatch.com, and we won't write again. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
9. Automated decisions
We make no automated decisions or profiling with legal effects.
